Did anyone win an item in Lou Lepsits' auction last night?

I won a group of real nice HOFers from the 1934 Batter Up set. The six cards are all PSA 4,5,and 6's, but I need them for my set. Does anyone out there have any of these laying around your house? I would be interested to see who won the 1971 Topps Greatest Moments set. It went for $4000 and none of the cards were graded.

    Shane:

Though I know and talk to quite a few people who were active bidders and winners from Lew's auction last night -- I don't know who won the 1971 TGM set. Most of the people I know who follow such things do so for the pre-war material. I picked up some nice type cards in his last auction.

Where can I sign up for the next auction? Is there a website? Does anyone have a 71 GM Rose PSA 7-8, 71 Kellogg's Rose PSA 8-9, or a 69 Topps Super PSA 8 available?

had to get those in there ... nice segueimage

Nice set that you have in 1964 Topps stand ups. Sorry I passed you. Sold your sole to Marshall?

Common, I thought you were going to corner the market on these?

  • Wow. Whoever this "pc" guy is, he sure sounds bitter about something. I have never heard 1954 use "being a human being" as an excuse for anything. 1954 must have nailed his mom. Back in 1934.

Lighten up, pc. Money may be your ticket to freedom, but it also sounds like it makes you pretty unhappy.

Maybe we should put 1954 and pc in a ring - can the winner get a 1970 Kellogg's Kard from Zardoz????

    Have a great weekend, everybody!

    It's all good...
  • Here's an item from the auction. It's an N338-1 S.H. Hess California League PSA 4 (MK). The opening minimum bid was $2,500.

Do you think they could have centered the card a little better in the holder for the auction? I mean how much damage could it do to a PSA 4 (MK) to give the holder a few light taps?

Lew could care less about graded holders,
and that card needs no hype or sales pitch, probably would have sold for the same w/o a pic, maybe more.
I wish it was coming home to me!
    you're right though, pretty lazy.
  • I won the T205 Drum back, which was the last card I needed to complete my master set (I just hope it grades at PSA)!!!! That gave me all of the players, variations and backs that are possible. It was a good night for me!
