Roosevelt Sale - $250.00 Per Roll!!!

Heaven help us all. I got up super early and was working this morning and turned on that bane of the novice collectors existence - The Coin Vault.

This morning they were hyping a 46-64 circulated Roosevelt Dime collection packaged with a short set of pennies and a short set of nickels - all raw, circed, flat as a pancake coins.

Mr. Robert Chambers, the numismatic "expert" proclaimed that the dimes alone were worth the price of the package as Roosie's are now going for $6.00 EACH in the major catalogs. Add in the cost of FIFTEEN DOLLARS EACH for the Harris Tri-Fold's (the same ones your local shop sells for $4.00), and it's a deal that just can't be beat.

With that said, at $6.00 each, that would equate to $300.00 a roll, so, sport that I am, I have a few dozen rolls of FDR's laying around - I'll let 'em go for $250.00 each.

As an aside, Mr. Chambers wants you to know that if you should buy all the 95 proof sets you can at $200.00 or less because these prices are going up every week in the catalogs. In fact they've doubled in the last couple of months, primarily due to the volume of sets being bought by ShopAtHome buyers.

there really ought to be a law.
