hehehe.... They are pitiful without Shaq. Kobe had 41 points, but 17-47 shooting (0-8 from 3 point range).

    Kobe was pathetic tonight. They still had the game won though but kobe made stupid decisions at the end of regulation and overtime. Oh well, next week things go back to normal.

    17 of frikin 47, that is pathetic. I don't get how it's possible that you shoot the ball 47 times and only get 41 points. Best of all is that he was 0 for his last 8 shots at the end of regulation. He had numerous attempts to pull out the game for them and failed EVERY time

    Kobe is trying to do too much. That was his problem when he first joined the Lakers. I think he is being a ball hog out of fustration. We are now seeing how important shaq is and why he gets those MVP awards.

    A young season, Kobe is already putting up season highs!!! Your right, he is putting up highs for him this year in rebounds,assists and triple doubles. How many triple doubles does tmac have this year by the way? Last game he only put up 13 shots and the lakers got smoked. Well tonight he wouldnt stop shooting and they should have won. The bottom line is that no one on the lakers have stepped up this season except kobe.

    Triple-doubles for Kobe will cut down when shaq comes back. Kobe's shooting % will increase also because he will get a lot of open shots. It will take Shaq a few games to get use to playing with the soar toe.

    Joe, When you dont do any research before you post it often makes you look dumb. When shaq returns, kobe's assists totals will go way up because he brings the ball down the court and will be dumping it in the shaq. Kobe's rebounds will go down because he will have the big man in ther cleaning up the boards. Both times kobe had a triple double, the lakers won and there record is 2-4 with 2 very close losses to san antonio and boston and 2 blowouts to cleveland and portland. The pathetic teams you say they beat were portland and the clippers, both decent teams with portland being a very good team. A pathetic team would be the kings w/o webber, stoyakovich and bibbly and vlade with a bad back. They took the magic to overtime. The knicks beat them easily in regulation. Next time check what you are writing before you post it.

    Tmac is averaging less than 5 rebounds and less than 6 assists. kobe over 10 rebounds and 8 assists. These numbers will only go up with shaq coming back. The kings were down to 8 players vs the magic, and they took them to overtime. Tmac will simply never be respected like kobe until he performs in the playoffs. I mean he hasnt even made the second round in the weak eastern conference. He has just as much help as iverson or baron davis did, yet those teams have made it past the first round. Tmac is does not play enough defense and is not mentally tough enough. That will be a fact until he proves me wrong.

    T-Mac is a great defender, and Iverson and Baron do have better team around them....I will bet you 50$,or $50 BV in cards, that Kobe's Assists average will be lower at the end of the season than they are right now....Do we have a bet? And all of CU can witness it

    hell no im not going to bet on it. I dont bet on anyhting first of all and why would I bet on something like that. Kobe could have 2 assists tomorrow and then have a year ending injury and I lose. Would you bet that tmac averages 32 points per game this year? Would you bet that tmac makes the all nba first team defense.

    Well I can't bet 32 points is alot for somebody who doesn't put up tons of shots and all-defensive team is poltics so you never know about that.............But i never said that would last, I mean the man is shooting what 55%, JESUS, while shooting plenty of 3 point attempts....So that could easily go down...But if Kobe goes down before 2002 ends we could call off the bet....You still wont, so whats it matter, dont have faith in your wonder boy

    If I were a Lakers fan, I'd be worried. Kobe is falling into old bad habits, the role players aren't doing anything, and if you think Shaq returning is just going to instantly cure all the Lakers' ills, then you're oversimplifying things.

    The lakers will be ok. They arent going to win the no.1 or no.2 seed. That is probably out of the question now but if there is any team that has shown that playing on the road in the playoffs doesnt bother them, it is the lakers. The lakers could have easily won 4 games now. As long as the lakers get 50 between shaq and kobe they win 90%of the time. It is a proven formula.

    Yeah it was a guy I use to work with at Boeing, before the 30,000 person layoff in 99..
    Anyway, he was from Atlanta, didnt watch football, but started smacktalking when Atlanta got to the NFC game.. I honestly thought I couldnt lose, heh...

    Anyway, the worst part was after I gave it to him, I got a bunch of parking tickets in the mail from him. He never paid the bills, they tried to take my drivers license away. finally I found the records of transfer, so I was cleared.. Makes me wonder if he would have paid up if he lost the bet, some people....
