Yep
Wanted to be the first on the block!
Grabbed a 71 Topps 88 that wouldn't crossover without getting whacked with an o/c and got the ball rolling.
Report:
Pretty clean and straight forward except they want home address and phone number before you could enter any cards. No problem there as long as they don't sell the information to telemarketers or mass mailing houses. Here's the winner...you have to enter the grade yourself! You'd think they'd integrate it with their cert database.
#31 Kasko in the set has 0 weight. Guess that you don't bother with that card!
The entire ser# including the hyphened number at the end has to be entered.

In so many ways...that is one of the funniest lines Ive ever read on this board.....talk about a set registry for the "working man"......now everyone can have a set of graded "10's" !!

Zardoz-
YOU MISSED THE BOAT !!
Were you not aware that you have to register at least 75% of the set when you first sign up in order to receive your free gradings!!
You should of thought of that before you took the plunge!
John
I think I have a 1996 Playoff Prime Mini Steve Young graded by SGC.

CHEERS!!
No going down that route again believe me!
I have yet to claim one free grading.......I'm just too afraid! If one remembers one's medieval history, "trial by combat" and "trial by ordeal" do not exactly appeal to me. I'll let the rest of the board members continue their lovefest. I'll just nurse the wounds
You surprise me. I thought you would have figured out by now that I will always treat our customers in a professional manner, no matter what has occurred in the past. It's water under the bridge.
By all means, send in your request for free grading. We will send you your authorization codes with a smile.

Surprise you?, I surprise myself!
You are indeed correct in stating that it is water under the bridge. I certainly feel vindicated by the outpouring of support from my fellow board members that responded in such an overwhelming manner. The original post became the highest non BMW thread ever on the registry board in a short period of time. The rapid change in PSA's policy furthered my contention that the original policy in place was Byzantine and of little value to the average collector to whom the Registry is geared for.
The entire episode began as a result of my emailing a request for the free gradings. We traded emails, I shared my experience on the board which commented, and PSA reacted accordingly. That was the last I ever heard of the matter. An email from PSA would have been nice stating, that "Yes, we are now able to process your request and sorry for the confusion, etc." Now that would be treating customers in a professional manner in my humble opinion. Frankly, it's no biggie either way. Two of the three sets that I requested the gradings for no longer exist and I am not going to go through the time and trouble to substantiate that they ever existed, if in fact I could. A lot of time has passed. Besides, one would be very mistaken if they believed that I am some sort of itinerant mendicant with my hand outstretched. We'll just let it go...........as you stated, water under the bridge, so let's move on.
However, you have done, and are continuing to do a great job with the registry. I feel that a large portion of its phenomenal growth can be attributed to the efforts that you have put forth.
You interested in selling that Woody English. I'm currently renting his old home here in central Ohio. In fact, the highway that comes into town is called the "Woody English Memorial highway".
If so, send a PM.
Sorry to go OT guys
You're an OT kinda guy
This thread regarding SGC's Registry is just too funny. But the question that I have for you is when is the ZAG Registry going to start?
As for me, I plan to join it too. I've cracked open several SGC cards for PSA crossovers and still have the labels. I'll just enter the labels. This will give me a database of what I've once had.

Contrary to my PSA collecting philosophy, when it comes to SGC, I buy the holder and not the card!
