Ebay problems.

I was trying to right click a word on Ebay to copy and paste to do a search. It now says that I dont have permission to right click. Is something wrong w/ my computer or did Neo-Nazi Ebay just do something?

For some reason it is only with this certain sellers auctions. Can the seller some way disable the ability to right click their auctions?

You can disable the right-click function in HTML and some people insert it into their ads.

It's done to prevent saving the picture (even though you can get it out of your temp folder).

They are using a java script to disable right click function. It's to try and keep people from stealing scans. It can sometimes be defeated by clicking both buttons at exactly the same time.

Yes, there is a way (I'm not sure how) for sellers to prevent right clicks. Most sellers use this so people cannot take their images. I ran into one a few weeks ago that displayed "Stop that I See You!" when I right clicked.

I don't know why people bother, it just adds a step to saving a picture.

I am running W2000 and when I rest my cursor over the image there is a 4 icon menu which pops up and it allows me to save the image if i wish or print.

Or go to the menu and selct VIEW then SOURCE and look through the html for the location and jpg name.

It isn't the Windows you run, but the browser version... it's an IE6 thing (how I want to downgrade... it crashes SO MUCH!)

Right click and hit the Enter key at the same time and you'll be able to get past the block.
