HOW DOES ONE FIND THE PRODUCTION OF SILVER PROOF SETS

Hi, I'd appreciate it if someone can answer this question..can one know the production of silver proof sets for the years 99-01? And....is there any way to know the current and expected production of the 2002 silver proof set? I called the mint, a couple times, each time I get a different answer which leads me to not trust any of their answers. Any answers / guidance in this area would be appreciated....thanks...Arthur

usmint.gov is the only place I know to look.

    Maybe in the new Redbook?

Do these numbers take into account the destroyed bunch I wonder?

The book didn't indicate any destroyed numbers.

  • The Mint never destroyed any SILVER proof sets nor were any ever offered from previous years.
The Mint offered, sold, then withdrew the offer and SUSPOSEDLY destroyed CLAD sets!

Was that destruction caused by the problems they had with spotting and staining or something along those lines?
