Wow, thats a big invoice......I know nothing about business strikes, but those SMS look okay by me.......I have a silver 76S Bicentenial set I am going to submit.....hope it comes back like yours did. Would you be interested in trading or selling those 69S coins ?

Oooh....just noticed the BB.......what kind of altered surface could they have found? And submitted in the mint packaging? Post a pic when it comes back?

  • I see a problem: Nothing minted before 1959.

    Masta Hanky:
Whats wrong with coins minter after 1959? Or would you turn down an IKE in MS69. If you
have extra the Brian Ostro collection awaits your donations.

    Brian.
  • beorn,

Very cool scores on several of those coins! One of the great things about that type of submission is that you get to see a little into what the graders think - because you can compare grades of similar types graded at nearly the same time, then look and see what made the difference. I learned a great deal about MS Sacagaweas in this way. Now I get mostly the grades I expect (with the occasional DOH! 64 or so).

    Folks,
How do you get an Altered Surfaces BB on a mint packaging submission? Inquiring minds want to know....
  • yeah that body bag gave me a brain cramp
  • Very Nice !!! I am jealous.

beorn- looks like you did really wellimage. Did you just send in the proof sets you had or did you search for the best ones you could find to submit? I think I could have bought a 3-4 $10 liberty's for the cost of that submissionimage. mike
  • those were just sets that i had. i,ll use them as a base and build from there.they are for my personal proof set collection......yeah that submisson was about $700.......my next one 1952-1964 will probably cost a bit more
  • whoops, that last entry was supposed to be a pm to darktone...oh well
