They're called "sock puppets". People of low self-esteem use them in an attempt to bolster their opinions. The primary makes a post, and then a cadre of sock puppets chime in with "I agree" and "You're right" to make it look like the primary has a valid point.

Wingedliberty- We've often disagreed on this Forum, however, we are in complete agreement on this subject.

I can think of no reason to validate his continued use of multiple identities. Or anyone else's of course! I would hope anyone with multiple identities would immediately cancel the additional identities.

i don;t understand, do you mean on ebay? forum? in either case, security is a completely valid reason, i think. i have two daughters, age 10 & 12. you mean to tell me i shouldn't do everything possible for their safety?
