Morgan dollars- question on 2nd and 3rd reverse

Hello all, can anyone give me the definition of 2nd and 3rd reverse morgans ?

    There are probably better descriptions than this but here goes.

    1st rev - 8 tail feathers
    2nd rev - 7 tail feathers, concave breast on eagle
    3rd rev - 7 tail feathers, convex breast on eagle

  • I was fixing to answer but Landlord got it right on the mark,there's some info in the Red Book about the varities.

    Would just like to add (because you may also encounter this description) that the 2nd reverse also has the top arrow feather is parallel in relation to the other arrow feathers, whereas, on the 3rd reverse the top arrow feather is slanted.
