I admit it, I've let this all get to me.

At the expense of causing a few of my detractors some serious gloating and satisfaction I have to admit this is kind of stressing me out. Bear just sent me a PM that hit home. Thanks Bear, you have a way with words and a quiet style of convincing.

I shouldn't have done most of what I did. I shouldn't have encouraged CoinDr to do likewise, even indirectly.
I don't want to take away from the joy of this forum and the great benefits it provides.
I got angry and I lashed out. Usually I'm pretty good in my everyday life in preventing that behavior. Today, I wasn't.
If by any of what I did, you lost even a moment of pleaure from these forums, then to you, I offer my sincerest regrets. It won't happen again.
And, to insure that, I'll take a week off form posting anything. Someone mentioned getting away from the keyboard and kissing my wife or talking a pleasant walk on the beach. That was sound advise.
Man, not posting here for a week though- that's going to be tougher than quiting coffee! image

  • Braddick (Pat),

You are a bigger man than most.

It wasn't pretty when we all attacked the "doc" and he responded.
But it's even uglier since you "owned" up. Surely everyone whose
feeling are hurt can calm down and welcome you back eventually.
When ever you come back you'll have at least one person glad that
    you did.

  • Braddick- Well done. I look forward to having you back in a week. I can appreciate the coffee comment. Enjoy the week!!
  • Mr Braddick

As a dedicated lurker to this forum I would like to state that I have learned alot from posts that you have either started or been involved in (Open Forum as well). More thoughts and things that could be said, but I will settle for "looking forward to reading more of your posts".

Pat, I commend you on your post. And, I hope it is the beginning of some mending of friendships and relationships here. If you want to take a week off, enjoy it. But, I see no forum rules that require it.

    Bear - nice job!

Braddick: That week off is probably excessive, especially because its been cold outside lately and the walk on the beach just won't be the same after around the 3rd day image

I have a feeling you have inner turmoil concerning what you have discovered hanging out with your "Coin Dr. friend" and your desire to "do the right thing" as both an officer and a gentleman. I suspect deep down inside you may have known that inviting your "friend" here would result in total disaster. When it started falling apart, you came back for more. I suspect you may have some strong latent feelings about your "friend", especially in light of your being programmed to know "right from wrong", both legally and ethically.

Having said that, the best of us take a beating every now and again on these boards. Come back soon and please work out the issues you have with your "Coin Dr. Friend".

  • I would say don't come back until you can admit you are CoinDr. Then you will be ready.

Just take a few days off. If you take a whole week off you may find that real life is so much more fun and won't want to come back! Anyways hope to see you back soon and with a new PO1 find! image

Unless CA just sank into the ocean, I hope Braddick still lives in CA? Did I miss a move too? Wondercoin

  • Stop! Whatever you do, do not, I repeat, do not give up coffee. Also, while you're at not givein up coffee, don't leave, unless you feel like you really have to.

I'm not sure what you said in regards CoinDr that you feel bad about but he seems like he has a pretty thick hide, I mean, calling yourself CoinDr in this forum is like having the handle of BloodyCoatHanger in the ProLife forum.

But hey, 30+ days did me some good. I got a bunch of coins listed and sold.

  • braddick,

I still have 2000-P and 2000-D Sacs in my pocket with your name on them. The Eagle's breast feathers are almost worn completely smooth on both from natural friction against other coins. They should be AG in another couple of years so you've got to stick around for these beauties.
  • Hey how 'bout this analogy...Like a snakey lawyer entering the rare coin arena with asking prices like he's representing O.J.
  • See ya soon Pat.
