Toughest coin you've ever purchased for under $500

Some coins aren't terribly expensive but can be super difficult to find like this Lincoln cent. What is the most difficult coin you've ever purchased for under $500.

At a LOT less than $500, most of the MS64 Walkers have been tough to find the way I want them to look. As a pathologically impatient person, this is drivng me nuts.

I haven't yet purchased the toughest coin yet for less than $500. I'm looking for a 1982-D Washington Half in an ANACS or ICG 69 holder. Been looking for about a year and a half; no luck yet.

  • A 1917-S Buffalo in PCGS AU58. Very tough date, and you just don't see this coin in AU58 that often. I essentially stole it at $230.

A IHC 1864 DDO in VF - tough to find in any grade.
