I found these in a roll of half dollars Saturday...

I asked for 1 roll of half dollars at my local bank on Saturday
then opened it up to find these:

1963-D Franklin
1966 silver clad Kennedy

It doesn't take much to get me excited. Have any of you found
anything interesting in change or in rolls in the last few days?

I found a nice 1941 D Walker Half in a $200 payoff from a 50c video poker machine a couple months ago here in Vegas. The 1965-1969 Kennedies are pretty common finds still. I usually find 5 or 6 every time I play. Not enough to make up for the losses though.image

    Hey there,

My father-in-law owns a video store, so being the fine son-in-law that I am I volunteer to roll all of his loose change. This Sunday I found a 1917 Lincoln Cent in VG. Sure I could probably buy a half dozen of these for a buck, but I sure do enjoy the search!

i've only ever found 2 decent coins in circulation, both error coins. 1 was a quarter w/ a missing clad layer, worthy maybe 10 bucks. the other was a type -2 blank-planchet dime, worth maybe 5 bucks.

i've found a few older coins, but nothing all that exciting. oh, when i was a kid, i did pull out a couple of 1939-D nickels!

  • I'm finding things all the time. My latest finds have been a 1939 Jefferson and a 1974D Lincoln that looks like it left the mint yesterday. image
