Obviously dipped, AT'd and puttied. JUST KIDDING ! Can someone answer a question ? Why only a 64 on this coin. Because of the 2 dings at 1 and 3 oclock?
There may be a few more ticks, looks like a few hairlines at 2:30 and 3, maybe a few more. Also we can't see the reverse. Looks like a nice 64 from the scan!
More than likely the coin gets a 64 because of hairlines which can't be seen in the scan.
This is a very beautiful coin. I have been hedging around with the idea of putting together a non-gold proof 1873 proof set for some time now, then you had to go ahead and post this coin.
