gripgrip Posts: 9,962 ✭✭✭✭✭
I have the book in front of me,but the only coin they show is in Fine -12.I think it may be the highest graded. Some of the stars and letters merge into the rim as shown on the f-12 but the rim is also worn down into the stars inwhich mine is not??.What do you all think Overton 115?.And thanks Al1833Bust Half

    Too small?

Placid yours is large enough, but you need to be able to see the reverse straight on to diagnose it. Grip your pictures are too small.

Thats the problem with Busts, they are either too large or too small

We need some that are just right.image

I don't think it's an O-115. I think it's either a 103 or 104. Your "5" from 50c is wrong for the 115, just for starters. I can't see enough of the shield detail to narrow it down enough. Maybe someone else?

  • Sorry Grip but I don't think it's an O-115. Check out the sarif on the 5 in 50 on the reverse and compare it to the main diagonostic in Petersons book.

Can't be 115 as has been said the top of the five is all wrong.

Grip - yours looks like it could be 111

Placid - yours looks like it could be 108

    Kinda' tough from scan though.

  • Grip, all I have are my own notes, I don't have any of the standard references, but I am coming up with either O-104 or 105.
