There's a coin that has me scratching my head regarding the * on the slab.
I'm no big fan of toning anyway, but in what way does this coin have "exceptional eye appeal" to merit a * designation? I'd like to think I have an open mind regarding toning, but that mottled brown look just doesn't do it for me.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
