I am just reporting the difference in the two pops on those two dates as shown on the on-line pop reports. I can assure you these are the differences between the pop reports on those two dates. Whether that is reality or not, I can't say--that's in PCGS's hands. I noticed several dates last month where this occured as well. I don't know what is going on but I assume it is either downgrades or certs coming back from prior crackouts or crossovers to another service. I'll try to remember to do this every month or so and we can see what happens going forward.

PS: Stewart, your Lincolns ARE worth a trillion dollars but that's beside the point!
O.K. - I will make at least 10 1909 vdb's as well as 10 1909's in ms 66 and ms 67 and we'll see if they show up.I need to get to the bottom of this inactivity
Dave - Hang in there and your Lincolns will be worth multiple millions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It sounds crazy but I'm pretty sure that these are right. I know of several 67s that were made in the last month and all of those are present and accounted for on Wayne's spreadsheet.
One thing I think is interesting...it looks like the brute force method is getting people nowhere in making short set 67s. Some dates have massive runups in 66 with no 67s made (55-D at 38/0 and 57-D at 28/0 for example) while the dates where 67s were made have little activity overall (58 at 2/1 and 45-D at 1/1 are great examples).

Do not fall into the error of the artisan who boasts of twenty years experience in his craft while in fact he has had only one year of experience... twenty times.
The decreases don't surprise me. The pops for 1877 Indian cents in all red grades decreased by a total of 2 for all of the past year. MS64RD & MS65RD deceased by 1 each, all others remained the same. See my US Coin Forum post.

What do you make of the sizeable dips in the 15-D and 12 pops?
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
Something is not right .........or my Lincoln cents are worth a trillion dollars
How can there be so many decreases in the pops of early date Lincolns ? Is PCGS buying the coins ? I don't think these numbers are correct.

Let me know when you make one of the 1909's in 66, so I can buy it off you.
