  • I have never seen or heard of anything like that. But it could be a 1 of 1. I think it is worth a shot since it is only at $5.
Looking for all penny hardaway cards that I don't have.

    refs:

    baljitgill, epag (2), kls23, amfox1, kobecollector (2), bjork73, tmac21, chayne02, ljmaya, quicksilver77, ahares, woodson24kg, co1lector, kbryant1, kr580

  • actually I just thought about something. If this was a true 1 of 1 then why would he start the bid out at $5. something doesn't sound right to me.

  • No clue, but I'd go for it. Just don't bid more than you feel comfortable, that way if it turned out to be fake, you're not out much.
  • i would just play it safe and buy the kobe card he has pictured image
  • Thanks Chad.

These could be real, but what if these were something that were to be destroyed, and somehow
this person got a hold of them. Like someone walked out of Topps with a box of trash, but
these were in the trash? You wonder how many rare cards make it into packs, and how many
of them make it out the front door instead? I remember a few years back some dealer was selling
a hugh amount of rare inserts, and people were assuming he had someone inside the company
take them and he was selling them on the internet. You never know.
  • dont waste your money

  • I have NO idea but look at the guys feedback which is excellent and he does buy and sell this type of stuff.
From looking at his buys and sell paterns on his feedback i assume hes a dealer in Texas ( buys a lot of spur stuff, and lots of 'lots' and goes for cheap prices so he can resell..... and besides he list Austin as his home )
Also he has been selling off the Kit Young play-off cards so hes into this type of stuff.
I wouldnt consider where he started off the price as much indication either, he has sold some cards lmt to 15 for $5.00 and up, so why not this stuff too.

I would guess its real...and i usually dont believe anybody on ebay.

    those are fake believe me

When I bought some packs of the 98-99 Topps Chrome set 3 years ago I had to make a long train trip to go to a store somewhere in Belgium, so on my way back I ripped my packs and had fun peeling of the covers of the common cards. I had about 12 so called 1/1's during my trip, so anyone can peel of the front of a Chrome or some sets of Finest cards if you have some patience
  • those are fake

  • Three things,

first call Topps ask for info about the card....you can also email the seller for more info...

second, if an auction is started too high people will avoid it, starting low when the value is unknown isn't bad, its when the value is known that it should be suspicious..

last, if you collect him and don't have it, bid...
  • If it's a Webber you don't have, put it on your watch list and see where it goes. Also, put a few other big names from that seller's chrome set on your watch list, if it seems that all the cards are being avoided like the plague it's probably a scam. Seller's feedback does look clean though.
  • You guys are awesome. Thanks for the advice!! Im watching the auction and will bid if its cheap.

I love CU!! Bunch of great traders and people...Im getting all emotional and crap...lol.
