Registry Point system

Need a Little help in understanding PCGS point systems.

I have the following coins and I want the higher point coin in my registry.

PR66DCAM LINCOLN OR A PR67CAM LINCOLN

Which one yields more value in the registry.

or does anyone have a spreadsheet/cheat sheet on the point system.

Thanks
Rick

    From the registry rules:

"This is to say that a PR67, a PR66CAM, and a PR65DCAM will all score the same 65 grade points. For pre-1950 proofs, coins which are "Deep Cameo" will receive one bonus grade point and there are no deductions for non-cameo."

Assuming that your Lincolns are post-1950 they would receive the same number of points in the registry.

  • If they are the same year they would be the same number of points. Some years are weighted differently than others.

Personally I would much rather have the 66 DCAM than the 67 Cam. The frostier devices and deeper mirrors look much better to me.
  • Thanks,

    They are both 1972's
