-Spurs beat Lakers, lose to Warriors.

-Hornets walk out for pregame introductions wearing what look like aluminum foil capes.

-Some clown named Gordan Giricek drops 29 on Dallas.

-Nuggets put a 15-0 on Minnesota

-Nick Van Exel sports the Grizzly Adams beard/bald head combo.

As you can see by this evidence, clearly the apocolypse has struck the NBA. Anymore opening night oddities you guys saw that you want to add?

    Well,you asked so here it is.Oddities(what a great word)of opening night:
    #1-That ESPN/ABC would pay that much money to display such a
    damaged,boring league of overpaid,whining so called athletes.
    #2-Michael Jordan reduced to 6th man role & playing NO part in the outcome of the game other than helping them lose.
    #3-The China project failure.YaoMing playing as bad as he did but the NBA licking thier chops hoping they will sell 200 million of his jerseys in China.What a joke!
    #4-That so many people are still foolled by the marketing of this poor exhibition of a once great sport.

    Well, I asked for opinions, and complete disdain for the league is an opinion, so I'd certainly say Bobstar has the right to post it. I happen to disagree, I think David Stern is by far the strongest of the four sports commissioners, and it's hard to totally fault basketball when you see how bad things can get for a once-popular sport like baseball for instance. I think the league has done a strong job of transitioning from the Jordan era.

    Under-Just to clarify something for you;we actually like the sport of basketball & watch the NCAA alot.It's just that the NBA has done a terrible job of turning the sport into nothing like it used to be.
    Ryan does make a good point that baseball is far worse right now when it comes to image but unless the NBA addresses some of its shortcomings soon,it will go the same way;down,down down.....
    Also,you don't need to read my comments if they upset you so but he did ask for them so I feel I have the right to express them like anyone else.

    LOL, I think the apocolypse has reached CU. Bobstar is making the same exact argument I often do, that it's a free board and if you don't like it, don't read it. Holy cow, who thought they'd ever see that?

    Speak for yourself Undertaker. I didn't know Bobstar hated the NBA. Then again I think I recall discussing the downfalls of the NBA and the positive purity College Sports offers with him last year...... anyways. I welcome Bobstars opinions.

    Like Ryan said, you don't like it, don't read it. Joestalin posts garbage posts all the time and like most of us here, I don't even read them. Consider doing the same for Bobstar is you don't like hearing a rounded opinion that goes against yours.

    There are 2 sides to every coin. Deal with it.
