Bust half dime ?

1907Quarter had a post earlier about a bust dime and I went reading into the feedback of the seller.I came across that auction,It's not mine and I have nothing to do with it but is that dime a curl base 2.I have an old redbook(2001) that says$5,000.00 now I know that the redbook is full of itself when it comes to pricing but $34.95.

dude, all '29 half-dimes have the curl-base "2". the 1829 curl-base "2" dime[//u] is extremely rare. btw, i personally know the gentleman who discovered the second curl-base "2" dime. it's a fascinating story, as the die punch for the erroneous "2" does not appear to have originally been for the dime. if memory serves correct, only 3 or 4 are known.
