Anyone dealt with JWCAMEO?......Accented Hair Cameo

The scans are so dark, it is hard to get a good feel for the quality of the coin. The seller's Feedback seems pretty darn clean. Thought I would check to see if anyone has dealt with seller jwcameo?

Jeff is a great guy with some great coins, I have never had a problem in my hundred plus transactions with him.

I can vouch for him as well, with several purchases from his Ebay auctions as well as his website. If you don't like a scan, email him, and I'll bet he'll take another shot for you right away.
  • I bought a NGC 1964 AH PF67Cam from him about 2 years ago and it crossed to a PCGS at same grade. Very nice to deal with.image

Jeff is top-notch all the way. Do not hesitate to deal with him.
  • Jeff is only rivaled by Tomaska as the leader in 1936-1970 Cameo Coinage and is a pleasure to deal with. I was offered this piece last week and declined because I already own one in this grade.
  • i,ve dealt with him several times and hes impressed me with each transaction

Many good transactions, and descriptions are accurate. Good luck.

  • The auction states:

<< <i>Satisfaction Guaranteed - Return privilege is 7 days after receipt provided that payment is received within 10 days of the auction closing and packaging is untampered with. >>

Isn't that good enough for you?

<< <i>I'm not sure what more you want from them? >>

<< <i>If you don't like the coin, shouldn't you just return it for a full refund? >>

<< <i>A buyer in such a situation should review the coin and upon finding it not to his/her liking, notify the seller of his/her intention to return the coin for a full, no questions asked, refund. End of story. >>

Hmmm... does the story change when it's a coin YOU're interested in?

    Just wondering...

    I second Clark's observation.

and.. just for the record - (again) I never sought to return the set, only the difference in price.

Not that I care - but at least get the story right even if the individual you are disparaging at the moment is the wrong one.

Hey- I've got one of those! Are they really selling for $400.00 in PR67CAM?

I think I paid about $100.00 in an NGC holder and another ten or so to cross it into PCGS (it did).

  • Braddick - how recently did it cross? PCGS just screwed me downgrading my solid NGC 68CAM Accent Hair to a PCGS PR66! imageimageimage

    Pat,

They are all over the road between $350-$450. Best i've gotten on a crossover is 66Cam. Nice shot.

  • Clark-
My apologies. I got the 2 Russ Re-Pete's confused. I stand corrected. Your stupid, repetitive comments about the seller's return privilege and the similarity to that offered by Island Rarities (from another thread) had absolutely nothing to do with the intent of my inquiry. Next time you don't have anything positive to offer, please take your comments elsewhere.

<< <i>stupid, repetitive comments about the seller's return privilege >>

The topic is past transactions with seller jwcameo. If you don't have any past dealings with jwcameo and therefore nothing to add, then please move on to another thread.

I've owned the book for 15 years. Now go search for '64 Proof Sets.
  • pssst - kincoindcam... you have to READ it for it to do any good.

  • Ok, Buddy. I'm sure there will be other threads that we can pal around in! Maybe next time I won't stifle your ramblings with facts and logic. Uh... yeah... right after I perform the home-lobotomy that would be required to bring me down to your level of intellect.

Had Mr. Jeff Werlin of JWcameo on the phone. He earnestly answered my questions.
I knew exactly what I was buying. Here's the coin.

Actually, I was interested in one of his Cameo Franklins. However, I wanted to get numerous opinions and thought the Accented Hair Cameo would draw more attention. It did and I got the overall approval I was looking for.

Thanks for trying to stir something up though. You are STILL quite transparent!

No need to be defensive. I was just curious. After all, how can you like Franklins, and not like JFKs. I like'em both.

  • DHeath- I stand corrected.

I do like the Kennedy coins. I have bought and sold hundreds of them in PR-69 DCAM. I felt they were too numerous to appreciate, so I turned them over very quickly. Fortunately, I've been correct. I still like them in PR-70 DCAM and I like the SMS Kennedy in Cameo and DCAM. In my opinion, they have additional upside potential. Thanks for the inquiry.

    Dcam,

It's always enlightening to learn how other people approach collecting, and what they collect. I like the Kennedys in spite of their availability. I just really like the look of the coin, and there is enough variety in the series to keep it challenging. After looking at literally hundreds of 71 proof sets, I'm still looking for "the one". The 64 silver Dcams, the SMS Cams and Dcams, the MS coins in 72,76,82,83, etc. I guess the length of the series is part of the charm. I guess the relative rarity of a coin has little to do with my appreciation of it. I'm a sucker for a PQ coin. Are you as obsessed with Franklins?

  • Within financial limits. Obsession with DCAM Franklins can be a VERY expensive proposition! I continue to do the best I can. I also have a strong appreciation for the DCAM Lincoln. They are a true rarity as well.
