Morgan dollar questions

If you had a set like in this auction, that you wanted to sell, would you break them out and have them graded first, or sell them in the set like this? And if you did get them slabbed, sell them as a set?

Second question: what about GSA CC Morgans? If you had a 1885 CC MS 64 and a 1884 CC MS 63, would you have them slabbed first or leave them in the GSA case?

Thanks for your opinions!

None of them are really worth slabbing. They are only like $100 coins but the 7/8 TF is a good one. VAM 38 or 39 pretty strong, the best one in the set.

Leave the GSAs in the case. Outside the holder they are just another (yawn) Morgan.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
  • Dog 97 is correct. The GSA Morgans are bringing far more money in their case than they do in a PCGS holder, unless they make 65, or better. Personally, I find them overpriced, though I'm a free market guy and if that is what people are willing to pay, then let them have all they want!
