4444 What's it mean?

in PCGS Set Registry Forum
It means there are right now 4,444 sets registered. Wait until all the new mint & proof sets get some serious population.

p.s. I think when they do the SMS sets, they will see a few dozen sets in no time.

    A couple of months ago, I made a prediction 5000 sets would be made around Sept. or so of 2003. The discussion was about whether PCGS would have another contest, and when. I thought they might at 5000, leaving plenty of time to prepare. I think the sets total was about 3800 or so.

    It'll be more like Feb. 2003, if that long!

    That will be interesting if PCGS inform in this forum a statistic with the number of persons involved in this 4.444 sets, and how many new collectors was registered sets during 2002 for example.

    It can also mean the same people are registering the same coins, but in different sets.
