Hi everyone,
Here are two more dates for the C-S6JC that have a strong chance of existing in
6 steps. These two dates are very close to 6 steps. They just miss completion to
the extreme right. The 39-S type 2 is a tough date to collect with just 5 steps but
does one exist in 6 sharp steps? I think so. The 1946 would be a very rare find in
6 steps. Another interesting thing about the 1946 pictured is the obverse is prooflike.
Locating a 1946 with both sides prooflike is possible and makes for a nice addition
to the collection. Especially if it has five steps. How about one with 6 steps?
Does it exist? Likely so.

You certainly have a great eye for Jeffersons. Regarding the 1946P I have a 6 stepper. One of these days I will take the coins out of the safe deposit box and photogragh them and post them with my Jeffersons.

I wish it was but there's only (a near) 6 steps. NickelCollector has the 6 stepper. Be sure to click on the links within the links for more information. There is a very informative thread by Kryptonitecomics on counting steps but the information is missing. The step count diagram is back up.
Hi Frank
Thanks for the comment. If you say it's 6 steps, then it is. Ken (Solid, I wonder if he got that name from the old Mod Squad TV series?) has added a 6 step 43/2 in the following thread.

Many of us here look forward to seeing the coins from your great collection Frank and be sure to make them large and of the coin like you did with your 55 dcam in another thread.
Frank (NickelCollecter) and Ken (Solid) have their collections registered in the PCGS Registry.

This time it's a 1947-D. The steps on this coin are very nice. I am certain

It's time to add another date to the C-S6JC. This 1941 Jefferson nickel does have 6 steps no question about it. This is not a too difficult date to locate in six steps but expect to pay a premium when PCGS
begins certifying 6 step Jefferson's and that should be anytime soon in this 21st century, LOL.
I have also added a pic of a 1938 that sports a EDS obverse strike. I don't have this coin anymore but it was a nice one.
Enjoy the pics and be sure to click on the links within the links.
