well - I have decided to put up my own site and offer stuff that won't sell here or on E-bay for time immemorial on my new site.
It is: CoinsandCards
Original, eh?
Anyway - here is the challenge.... the picture in the upper left hand corner of the main headline banner....hmmmm....what is it?
The first who posts the correct guess - to the year - will receive, from me, postage paid, and well packaged (better than Russ's friends)...
a PCGS MS66RD Lincoln 1974 D...from me ----FREE!!!
Put on yur thinkin' caps and see if you can figur' it out!!! All guesses count and the answer MUST be posted here.
I'm self imposing a time limit of 5 days on this littlegame.
p.s. I may throw in a few extra goodies, too

Looks vaguely like an early-1500's French Ecu d' Or au Soleil of Francois I that I once had, but that was not a dated coin. Al's closer to the truth, I suspect. That does look like a quatrefoil in the picture.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say a gold dubloon.
I'm sure I'm wrong, but I'm a sucker for a contest.
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
its4real, I think I have got you beat on the Sportcard inventory just a bit so far on my site!
I have no idea what your coin is, so I won't even venture a guess, but good luck with your site!

i pulled that one totally outa...............my hat!!!! i did my PCGS 8-second-grade-impersonation and when i first saw the coin it looked like one of the pieces-of-eight. i never even considered the color, but of course i know those were silver. just my haste to post, i guess. and as for the date, that would be the wild hair variety, the guess i mean!!!!

The color is INDEED silver - just took it under incandescant lighting so it looks golden...another clue!
It is a blazing silver under sunlight...which we have had solittle of here lately
Wish it would get sunny agin....

To the best of my ability to interpret what the foil says... Probably came off a wine bottle. I don't drink alcohol so if my assumption is correct, I cannot say (or guess further)
