Who are some of the better online dealers?

As you can tell by my name, I like the ASE. Besides E-Bay, does anyone know of any online dealers that I can keep my eye out for a decent (if there is for this friggin coin) 1995-W? Grrrr, I hate caving in on this coin, but I need it.

P.S. Wednesday on 60 Minutes, they are having a big thing about EBAY if anyone is interested.

Thanks,

Rick Tomaska, David Lawrence Rare Coins and David Hall jump to mind.

I've had some real nice transactions with Michael Dixon and Coinfinder(Is that the right handle? I think his site is down though)

I think that the best online dealers are the ones who regularly show up on this forum. There are quite a few. I think that it takes more than a sharp eye, experience, coin knowledge, and business saavy, to also honestly and candidly answer questions from, and answer to, their peers and collectors on this forum. They deserve a separate recognition.
  • Thanks for all the help everyone. I love all the information I get on here! Now if we could just get a decent coin shop out here, then I could jump start my collections.
  • I`ve had good expeirences with David Lawerence and Heritage.

Some of the ones I haven`t dealt with but heard good words about: Bowers and Merena, Rick Tomaska of RICoins ( a bit of a shy and quiet guy from what I read around this forum. He bends over backwards to please from what I hear too.). At the moument, that`s all I can think of.

As for coins outside of SAE`s, I agree with RegistryCoin, there are some dealers on this forum that post often and are more then willing to answer your questions or guide you in the right direction.

I have had and continue to have excellent transactions with Anaconda. He is even willing to pay a "rental fee" for coins he wants to hold for "just a few more days" before he lets them go lol.image

Also, I have recently purchased a piece from Heritage. So far, so good with them also.

Finally, LordMarcovan is an excellent person to deal with. I purchased a neat quarter eagle from him and he included a few WWII Jeff Nicks which was an unexpected but pleasant surprise! I hope to return the favor at the FUN show with a holed piece for his holey vest. image
  • Any dealers you know personally and have dealt with in person with great results would be the way to go.Strat is one guy you would have no problems with at all, either in person or on ebay. There are others here on the boards that would be good also,Coinfinder, Kiefer coins just to name a few. Finally stay far far away from big company dealers in the trades, someone has to pay for all that staff, big full page ads week after week in Coinworld and Numismatic News and that someone is you.
Friends are Gods way of apologizing for your relatives.
  • Thanks for the help everyone! Now I just have to decide what price I want to pay for this hyped up coin! lol
