Very cool ebay software

I came across this auction today and being that I often spend a fair amount of time trying to check prices realized to determine the worth of something, I thought I'd take the plunge.

You can also download a trial version at their website here:

Website

Once you download the trial version and relaunch your browser, anytime you pull up an ebay item a toolbar comes up with the average prices realized for all grades it can find. Very cool! It certainly has it's faults, the major being that you can only query for a date and not service or other fine tuning. So it will treat a PCGS MS-65 the same as an ACG MS-65. Also can't search for 1958 FBL Franklins only, you just get all 1958's.

ANyway, it seems really cool and I know it's going to help me save a whole lot of time. Check it out just for fun.

    I downloaded and tried it.
Absolutely cool! I like it and will probably end up ordering it when the trial period is up.
Thanks Tonelover, for linking us to it!

I'll try it when I am on my home computer, maybe.

One cannot help but wonder if "World Coins Explorer" is a bit of a misnomer, however, if it only works with US coins, as I assume? Is this like the "World" Series, by any chance?: image

Looks sweet. Too bad it isn't offered with Netscape/Mozilla web browsers...I refuse to use Billy Boy's intrusive IE on my computer. CM

I tried it for a couple of days. It's pretty cool but I have gotten tired of it because it's distracting and makes my machine run slow. How do you turn it off or get rid of it?

I clicked on the removal link and got a error message that said page not found url not available but it did actually remove it. I like the program I just didn't want it on all the time. All you got to do is click on the file you downloaded, I guess it makes an entry in the registry, when you need it, and click on the removal link when you don't.

  • I tried it last week. It seemed to only work sporadically. Plus, I prefer to use Mozilla when ebaying. Too bad... it looks like a good idea.
