  • You had to go and find another new ACG didn't you? image

This is a transitional variety. It has the front label of the second generation ACG slab and the back label of the third generation slab. (The seller also has a 1955 proof half in a third generation ACG slab for sale.) On the second generation slabs the first and third characters in the serial numbers are letters and on the back the C in Connecticut is located left of center below the two C's in ACCUGRADE. On the third generation slab the serial number has letters for the 6th and 8th characters, and on the back Connecticutt begins further left with the C centered below the AC. This slab would have been produced sometime in 1985.
