I went to the movie's last night, saw the RING!

I gotta say, I was not scared, not once. It was an interesting movie, don't get me wrong, but why have all these people on T.V. hyping me up to go and see a scary movie, and I don't get scared once. My wife, whom is a big wuss and gets scared very easily, even said it wasn't scary. They have a good marketing plan for the movie. Here's what they do, Go to the mall, find a bunch of teenagers hanging around, and here's how it goes. "Hey, you kids wanna see a free movie, we'll even give you free popcorn and Pop, and if you come out of the movie and say it's scary, we'll put you on a T.V. commercial.
I have decided to write the script for a really scary movie, not a comedy/ scary movie like all of the movies nowadays, but a movie more resembling a 70's scary movie. Those were good movies. Anybody have any ideas? I've got a few.

my wife and i both saw it and we thought it was a very good movie, if you like those types of movies..we both agreed that it wasn't quite as scary as we thought going in..then again my mother saw it and said she covered her eyes the whole time lol

I agree with you, it was a very interesting movie, but not scary. I wanted to see more of that video tape, they could have kept adding footage to it as the movie progressed, kinda letting the characters know what was going to happen to them or something.

Want ideas for a scary movie?

1. Little girls are frickin scary (i.e. Exorcist)
2. Guns aren't scary
3. Stuff unbelievable is really stupid
4. Missing people is scary
5. Mysterious voices are pretty scary

That's all I could think of for right now...

Good ideas collector, I couldn't agree more! I was thinking little girl for the main scary character, Old lady who wants a little girl and takes her, and her grown 30 something son who helps her keep the girl from escaping. but that would just be the beginning, probably 1955 or something, then fast forward to 2003 or whatever year it will be when its done, and someone moves into the house and the girls ghost is still there showing a little boy through visions what happened to her through her life, but now I need the big twist and a few more characters. Would you like a movie like that collector? LMK

I was dissapointed, but only because I was expecting a really scary movie. If I was expecting a dramatic thriller, I would have loved it. I did like the movie, but not scary.

no it wont put you to sleep..we both really liked the movie alot in fact i believe it was the ny post newspaper gave it 3 and a half stars out of 5 and every1 that i know that has seen it liked it. compared to alot of the bad movies out there it was worth the $

That movie was terrible we couldn't get into Jackass, so we saw it. Let me say it was a waste of money. Only good part was the end I thought, not that big of a deal my friend paid for me.

I would call it a suspense movie more than a horror movie.My wife and I thought it was good but not scary.my 11 year old thought it was disturbing and the teenage girls sitting in front of us were scared.How many good scary movies are rated PG13.

How many people thought "Pitch Black" was scary?

LOL. Well, I am not a big fan of scary movies (yes...i am a wimp) but that sounds like a good one!
