I have one 2002 P and one 2002 D they look like crap i don't know how do grade MS but i would have to say they would be MS-60,61 they are all dinged up and ugly. (they came from mint rolls) what do you think the average grade of a 2002 P and D mint?

The US mint bags are generally better - especially if they haven't been tossed around alot. Since they are in bags, there tend to be more contact marks, but since Sacagaweas don't have reeded edges, the contacts are gentler than Kennedys or quarters. Often the average coin from the bags is about 64, also lots of 63s.
Without doubt, I've had the most success in finding Gem (65) and above in official mint sets. Although every Sac from mint sets isn't contact free or spot free, the large majority are 64 or better. Every 68, 67, and 66 I've gotten have all been from mint sets. I've even gotten a blush-toned Sacagawea from a Philly mint set.
On balance, the money you have to spend on 2002 MS Sacagaweas to get good gems is best spent on mint sets. Since the only other channel is the Mint rolls and bags, the dollar premium per gem found is much lower with mint sets (and you get to look for FS Jeffs, MS Quarters, Cooler non-circulating Kennedys, and the occasional Lincoln that's nice!)
I hope this helps!

We'll use our hands and hearts and if we must we'll use our heads.
Strangely, when they were initially released in 2000 the situation was completely reversed.
The average prices I paid were as follows
PCGS-66 $8-12/piece
PCGS-67 $15-30/piece.
The difference is very clear. I think the mintages will be small for 2002 and 2002 may be the last
year of issue for this soon to be oscolete series. , I think.
