Funny PCGS error

So I reply to a BST forum post that I had a 48-D Jeff in 65FS a 72P in 66FS for sale along with a bunch of others. I get a PM about them and pull the 48-D out to take a look at it. The holder says 1948-D PCGS MS65FS but the coin has a problem in that its a 1949-D.

4 or 5 months I guess. I did not purchase it it was one I submitted.

I'd like to have that problem. Oops, I guess that is a problem, just tell the guy you made an honest mistake, and that you don't have a 48D.

The good news here is the 49D in full steps is a tougher coin.

Look up the cert number and see what they have it listed as in the database.

PCGS DB says its a 48-D 65FS I guess the thing to do is to send it back in. I think it was graded correctly but I wonder if they regrade a coin like this or do they just change the cert to reflect the correct date.

Ususally I thought it was the wrong insert.Maybe they just go by the insert to log the thing.Makes since.

I think they fix it for free. But shipping is on you. You write something like mechanical error on a submission form or something.
Call pcgs and ask to be sure.
