went to my local dealer today

It's a card/comic shop but he does have a few coins too. I asked to see all his proof sets from 1980-1990 he pulled out a lone 1980 proof set. When i opened it all i saw was haze the only way i could tell what coin was what is by the size of it. When i asked him about the haze he said the all proof sets from the 70's and 80's look like this because of the plastic and the air. I said thanks but no thanks and started to walk out. He said why aren't you buying it, i spent time looking for this set. Now i know why i get my coins from here and e-bay

Don't give up. There are a lot of nice coin guys in Wisconsin. You need to try some other stores until you find a good one. Reading stuff in CU and looking at coins on ebay is great but nothing beats looking at them in person. Where do the people in your coin club go?
