Binion Toned Silver $ Auction on Teletrade 10/27

I was at the Edgewater Hotel/Casino in Laughlin, NV a couple of weeks ago and they have a display of Binion Silver Dollars. There are about 200 on display in a case in lobby. All NGC slabs - nothing really outstanding, mostly 64's but some "GEM BU's"

There doesn't seem to be many forum members interested in the Binion pedigreed Morgan dollars. I would like to take a shot at some of the attributed varieties being offered; I just don't know if it would be worth establishing a relationship with Teletrade. Mike Fey has already attributed and advertised the collectible VAMs, so I don't expect any will be had below the VAM premium. I could be wrong, but I believe the VAMers will be all over this auction, so I don't think there will be any "deals" to be had, for me anyway. I like to "cherrypick" the collectible varieties, and try to avoid paying "retail VAM" prices when possible.

There are 1000+ binions in sundays teletrade auction. Most au or lower grade.

Man, you are so correct. I looked through those Morgans and 63 is the highest grade I saw; and probably only one time. That is one lot of coins I won't be bothering with. They definitely look like they have been through quite a few slot machines. ugh - seems to confirm that I have no need to bother with Teletrade.
