Why not a Capped Bust Half registry set?
Hey all-
Question: Why doesn't PCGS have a Capped Bust half category? It seems there should be a category for this popular coin. At least I think its popular. I sure would like to build a set.
Confused and bewildered,
Max

Edit: Tried the NGC site and no Capped Bust Halves reg. sets there, either.
There are probably a lot of collections in the ranks of the Bust Half Nut Club that could make a high grade bust half registry set. Most bust half fanatics collect them for die varieties, overdates, errors, etc. Grade is less important to them - look at the incredible Russ Logan collection currently being auctioned at Bowers and Merena. How could you rank a flip over double edge error with a 20% off center strike on a PCGS registry?
If you have not joined the John Reich Collectors Society it is well worth the $15 per year dues. They publish may articles on bust halves, updated rarity ratings, census reports, etc.

btw, this is in my top 5 favorite series.
