I have a couple of 1909VDB's in holders like that. A relative bought them for me from a magazine.
My question would be - where did the seller on this coin get 'proof-like and possible DMPL' from the coin that is listed in this auction?!?!
Cecil Total Copper Nutcase - African, British Ships, Channel Islands!!! 'Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup'
No I haven't. My first thought was that it wouldn't fit my "definition" of a "slabbed" coin but it does give a grade and it does specificly state a guarantee of authenticity. The real question will be whether or not the coin can be removed from the holder without damaging the holder. If it can then since there is no photo or any other means to tie a specific coin to a specific holder the guarantee would be meaningless and the holder would not be listed except under Miscellaneous. I've asked the seller we'll see what he says.

What amuses me the most is that he sold an MS66 Walker and a can of beer in consecutive auctions. hahaha
