Off Topic: Sniper(s) may be caught !?!?

I just saw on Headline News a few minutes ago that 2 people where arrested sleeping at a DC area reststop. A fellow. a gulf war vet., and step-son,17?, where arrested at about 3:30 AM EST this morning. It`s said that the police are " Caustiously optimistic" and maybe tied to a shooting in Alabama and Washington State. Hopfully it`s over!

I doubt it, but I bet the Tacoma thing was a big puff of smoke to hide what they were really doing. As one forensic person said (mirroring what I thought), why on earth would they allow it to be televised? It's like saying you know where Osama is and you'll get him tomorrow at noon as he heads out to AfghanMcDonalds. Telegraphing your moves is not good. I sure hope that's what it is. The forensic guy was quickly taken off the air because he wasn't supporting the media's flood of attention on this investigation. It was refreshing to hear some common sense! We have a right to know, but sometimes it's best to not know till AFTER the investigation! How many times do you see big drug busts discussed in the media AS THEY ARE HAPPENING? You'd have a lot of dead agents.
  • Yeah, those are some good points. I remember what Walter Cronkite said about the term " Investigative Reporting ", he said " I thought all reporting was suppose to be `Investigative` " .

Remember the camera crews and reporters waiting on the beach in Africa when the navy seals landed at night? I'm not sure I would have felt sorry for them if the seals mistook them for the enemy...

...and the guy they caught, who could be the sniper, his last name is Muhammad. What a shock! As for Tacoma, that is less than 10 minutes from where I used to live (I moved to Connecticut a couple months ago)!!!

If these two turn out to be the snipers, lets hope the jail guards forget to remove their belts when they put them in the cell.

In looking at the guy's background and actions while he was living in this area (I'm not far from Tacoma), I'm skeptical about his ability to pull this off. He does not seem to be possessed of the brainpower or talent necessary. I also have to ask: Where is the white van?

I fear that this suspect is not the primary perpetrator.

  • The 42 year old guy did very well in a shooting meet when he was in the army I just heard. He seems to have moved around the US with his purported stepson. His stepson's fingerprints were matched to a deadly robbery of an ABC store in Montgomery AL. They said last night the tipline got a call saying the recent shootings were done by the same person who robbed a store in AL. Either someone is scapegoating the guy or he is extremely boastful and stupid. They haven't confirmed the ballistic profile of the rifle found in the car, but there was a scope and tripod in the car. The two of them lived in the rented house in Tacoma earlier this year and also lived in a mission church (when they were homeless I guess). The kid enrolled in a high school in Bellingham WA, but had no previous school transcripts. I have driven in the WVA panhandle area and the rest stop is situated between Hagerstown and Frederick MD.
As for the white van, that could have been a coincidence sighting. When the guy was shot in Washington DC, there was a report of a spotted red car leaving the scene. I also thought someone at work say that the guy worked with vans and trucks and maybe he borrowed some of them to drive around?
The guy has an ex-wife (married twice and divorced twice) living in Clinton MD. She said she hadn't seen him in a while and did not know where he was for the past year.
If he isn't the actual person doing all of the shooting, then I am sure the true sniper will open up now so that he can laugh at all of the investigations and police work going on to say that they got the wrong person. The police spokesman remarked last night about a "duck caught in a noose". It appears to relate to a folk tale about a rabbit that thought a duck had been caught in a trap, but which it got away. If it isn't the right person, well the better for the real sniper to proclaim his message even more loudly for his audience.

  • The live press conference on TV seems to sound like they are congratulating each other for a job well done. I would think that happens when a case has been closed. Well the sniper better show up soon or his party will be a bust.

It looks like they have now matched the ballistics to the weapon found. So, either this is the guy, or he was setup by the CIA.image

  • Well I heard from an Arab news report last year that Japanese suicide pilots flew the planes into the WTC and Pentagon. They were doing that to exact revenge for Hiroshima and Nagasaki. image

I live in Northern Virginia a couple of miles from one shooting and work a couple miles from another. It has been so stressful around here, for the first time in weeks my wife and kids are feeling some relief (me too).

I think they got 'em, I hope so. And if they did, let's torture the sons-of-b1tches as slowly as possible till their death. And let's let the families of those who lost their loved ones decide how to do it. We can all watch. An eye for an eye, the best way God sees fit.

Sorry if this offends anyone, but emotions are high around here, that's just how I feel.

    Regards,
    Daryl
Some refer to overgraded slabs as Coffins. I like to think of them as Happy Coins.
  • Watch how the lame-stream media dance around the fact that John Muhammed is a member of the Nation of Islam and was a body-guard during the million man march. And they certainly won't mention how the INS had Malvo in custody and let him go instead of deporting him as the law clearly demands.
