Help part 2

Hello, I posted last week needing advice on what to do with my deceased Father's coin collection. I have gotten a list and if anyone can tell me if these would possibly be worth anything I would appreciate it. I don't have any mint marks, sorry!

1-1964 quarter
1-1922 silver dollar
2-1964 half dollars
1-1959 dime
59-quarters of mixed dates, pre 1964
50-dimes of mixed dates, pre 1964
2-1964 half dollars
3-1921 silver dollars
18-Liberty silver dollars
1-Liberty quarter
104-packaged dimes with mixed dates pre 1964
1-roll of mixed date mercury dimes
1-roll of 90% silver mixed date Roosevelt dimes
50-Liberty dimes mixed date pre 1943
37-Buffalo nickels

I appreciate any input!

Most are going to be worth more than face value.
Can't guess anything more without knowing the grades and mints.
Buy a redbook is a good place to start.
  • Thanks Placid! They told me last week about the red book, I will pick one up!

The condition of the coins will dictate the prices a bunch. One board member put together a nice site that can help you with grading. You'll want to pick up books like Red Book and the ANA Grading Standards to give you more detail. Both are pretty cheap <$15

Keep the coins for the grand kids. If they're circulated VF to AU coins your not going to make a ton of money unless they are high grade Mint State 64, 65, 66 quality coins.

The more qualities observed in a coin, the more desirable that coin becomes!

Basically what you list is typical of general accumulations. The coins are considered common and bring 3 times face for the silver minors. The silver dollars bring about $7. One of the only exceptions could be a "Liberty quarter" type.
If you want to get some reference books and learn about the coins, so much the better.
If you want to sell them for a minimum amount of effort, then take them into a coin dealer and just sell them.
The most money I made are on coins I haven't sold.

    Got quoins?
