Finding the time to collect cards......

As much as I love the card business and collecting, recently in the last month or two, I've had virtually no time to pursue it. I'm wondering, do the regulars here ever take a vacation from the card business? What's the longest break you've ever taken?

I take breaks in selling all the time because of work/client/personal commitments. I try to trawl through Ebay, though, no matter how busy I am as there are often cards up for auction that I may not have an opportunity to purchase again for quite some time.

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

Even the most ardent collector takes a break now and then, usually when finances dictate...jay

You have to take a break from time to time. to me it gets boring and more like work. i buy cards then submit them and then i get my grades back and keep what i can use for my sets and sell the rest. most of the time i take my break after i get my grades back. i can't understand how my perfect 10's end up being 7's and 8's. and for the same reason is what keeps me coming back

  • A good example of this may be Vargha. He isn't even posting very often anymore and I really enjoyed his posts.
