"COIN VAULT" TRANSCRIPT

Fat "Numismatic" Guy will be known as FNG from here on out. Eye Candy Blonde=ECB

FNG: We have quite a show tonight, filled with INCREDIBLE VALUES.
ECB: You can say THAT again. The phones'll be ringing off the hook!
FNG: Our audience is smart enough to realize an AMAZING VALUE when they see one!
ECB: You can say THAT again. The phones'll be ringing off the hook!
FNG: Let's start with an amazing set of Morgan silver dollars. These silver dollars are brilliant uncirculated, and guaranteed to be AT LEAST MS-60. (Holding the first coin between thumb and forefinger.)
ECB: You can say THAT again. The phones'll be ringing off the hook!
FNG: You are guaranteed two coins minted before 1904 and two 1921's for ONLY $89.99. Now, I can show you catalogs where you would have to pay that price for JUST TWO of these beauties. (Rubbing another between pudgy thumb and forefinger.)
ECB: You can say THAT again. The phones are ringing off the hook!
FNG: The two coins that are minted before 1904 can be any date or mintmark. Why if you happen to get an 1881-S, you will have made all your money back on only ONE coin!!! I can show you catalogs where they sell 1881-S's for $89.99 all by it self!
ECB: You can say THAT again. The phones are ringing off the hook!
FNG: The best part of this INCREDIBLE VALUE is, that if you live for another 150 years, these coins will be worth what we are selling them for.
ECB: You can say THAT again. The phones are ringing off the hook!

That show always gives me a headache. I usually stop for a few seconds to watch when surfing thru the channels. I can only handle a minute or two before my head feels likes it's going to explode.

Never before have we had a deal like this. We've had deals where you can get morgan dollars and peace dollars for $14.95, $16.95, and $22.95, but never have we had at $12.95. If you're looking for an investment, this is the time to do it. The prices have never been more affordable. Call now, convicts -- I mean operators -- are standing by.

If it were not true, it would be hilarious.... but I have seen this scenario.... amazing. They sell outright fakes, admitting they are fakes, and people are buying them. Cheers, RickO
  • Last night I happened to surf by the Coin Vault during the Monday Night football game, and they were selling a mint mark set of Morgans (P-D-S-O-CC) in NGC MS-64 slabs for $599. They were claiming that the CC coin alone accounted for the $599, and the buyer was basically getting the others all for free! For FREE! Woo Hoo!! I bought 10 sets. image

I love their line "I can show you price guides were the CC dollar sells for $599 alone." They just don't mention the price guides are from 1989

Have some fun with the operators on the shows. Ask them if the moderators
of the shows do free appraisals , tell them you have a 1922 dime ask the operator to ask them
how much they are worth. ( The US mint never made a 22 dime)lol.

I never quite understood how an illiterate person was supposed to call their '1-800-abcdefg' phone number!

  • one of my favorite subjects.

I watched this a couple of nights ago, and they were hawking bright shiny (read: cleaned and polished) Morgans. Fifteen Morgans and 5 peace Dollars for $269.00.

There was a Red Book prominantly placed on the table in front of FNG. ANd he held it in his hand and was talking about how the prices for these in "the catalogs" was off the chart in relation to what they were charging.

While HOLDING the red book, he picked up a printed booklet - referring to it as "a major catalog"

    "look at these prices!" $75.00, $125, $195, $85, $135!

compare these to just $13.95 per coin!

wait - what date and mint marks are you referring to? Is the public THAT stupid?

While reading these prices - he was holding up the Red Book, which I found comical, as he was reading the prices from God only knows where.

The favorite phrase of ECB (eye candy blonde) is ABSOLUTELY!

"I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my Grandfather did, as opposed to screaming in terror like his passengers."

You've all got me fired up now! How do I get this station? I've got cable with hundreds of channels. Anybody out there with Time Warner digital to give me a channel number?
