I got my latest submission back from anacs and didnt think I did so well but then again look at the pops
this info was taken from heritage.
1880-O S$1 AU53 ANACS Population: 136/8075
1884 S$1 XF45 ANACS Population: 6/14137
1889-S S$1 AU50 ANACS Population: 9/6186
1891-O S$1 AU55 ANACS Population: 23/4922
1892-S S$1 XF40 ANACS Population: 222/1496
1893-CC S$1 F12 ANACS Population: 15/3247

  • I even got one of these
    1903-O S$1 XF40 ANACS Population: 1/9304 image
  • e.g.....1/9304 means that that are 9304 better graded coins, than yours. Al the pops are very very high above your coins. The first number means, that is how many they have graded in that grade, and the second number means, number of coins graded higher that that one grade. It looks like you are well on your way to a slabbed set of nice dollars though. Good luck!

Not a bad little pile of Morgans there. If you would have received a half point bump on a couple of those, it could have made a significant ($$) difference for you.

  • Is there a premium on the value for having a coin in a rare grade such as that 1903-O XF40 with a Population of 1/9304.
There is only 1 in that grade.image

By the way I have almost a complete collection of morgan dollars that are auound AU but unslabbed
I dont have the 93S and probably never will unless I get one in an unopened roll or something.
  • No. Sorry to say.image

If it was 9304/1 that would be much better. image A nice set of semi-keys though!

  • braddick, on this forum, is making a set of Ike dollars that are pop 1 coins, because they are so worn out. In other words they are so crappy that no body in their right mind would send them in for grading. He finds Ikes that have the dates almost worn off and sends them in and gets a fine grade on the slab. He will probably have the only complete slabbed set of Ike dollars in less than au anywhere in the world.
