Does anybody like rainbow Morgans? Rate this one

What premium would you pay for this? It's an 1887 $1 PCGS MS64 listed at $43. I'll post what I paid in a day or two.

I like mine white so i wouldn't pay a prem (it would get dipped off anyway)image
  • Hey, cool poll! I won't give away my vote.

<-------------- But it was more than zero. image
  • Dependin on getting a better scan or seeing in person, I'd give $100 for the piece.

  • I think you got a pretty good deal but isn't the hair over the ear look extremely worn for a MS64?

I thought that too .Must be a weak strike, which does make it a 64 at best for an uncircd` piece.
The toning is kinda nice.Much nicer in person even I,m sure too.

I would pay about $60 because I like the blue face red hair and silver cap.

I like the color. I buy all of those that I can get in a certain price range.
I'm not going to pay the huge premiums that the fully toned coins bring. But those any day.

Well it looks like it won't be easy to find anybody dumber than me to sell it to for a profit.

I paid $166 or $123 over the price guide.

But that's OK, I like the rainbow Morgans and plan on keeping it. Anaconda had listed the "butt ugliest" coin last month for $1200 and I thought was too high, but darn it was nice.

I'm not going to say you overpaid for it because I've paid $300 for a $50 coin that didn't look much different but there was something about an eye catching unusual pattern that I was paying for.
Myself would only pay about $60 for it because it's just a normal ½ toned Morgan and toned 87s are easy to find.
Somebody like Anaconda could put it on eBay and one of his groupies would pay $200 for it. image
