Serious question regarding authenticity...

Ok, I recently purchased a 50B Williams PSA 8 for my collection. However, when I got it, I was disappointed to see the following white 'mark' on the bottom edge. Now it looks like it could either be on the card, or on the bottom part of the glass, right above where the card sits.
Interesting things to note about the card:
1. I tried to verify the Cert# with PSA and their records show that it's a PSA 9. (BOTN thinks that it could possibly be a 'buyback' from PSA and they just didn't update it in their database.)
2. I tried to check for evidence that the holder was tampered with- I did see a small 'crack' in the glass on the side of the holder, but it wasn't enough to be a 'tamper'-like crack. If anything, normal wear and tear.
Any ideas on what I should do? I'd love to keep this as part of my 1950 Bowman set, but it doesn't really look like a 'true' 8 to me. Plus, I'm not even sure if people would house it in an auction of theirs (ie. Mastronet, Superior)
I'll post a link to the flaw on the card: spot

You can't tell if the mark is on the card or slab in person? -- then there is no way for us to do it via a scan.

If you don't think its an 8, have PSA review it. But if you want to keep it, then keep it.

I thought you want to keep it, now you want to auction it? My advice? If you don't believe its an 8, have PSA review it.

I would love to keep it in my collection, but not with the spot- that's why I'm considering auctioning it.

I wanted to see if anyone else had any experience with tampered cards (after they got in a holder) with PSA.
Also, the fact that the Certification Verification system reports that the serial # should be for a PSA 9 card when it's an 8. That seems weird to me as well.

Alot of explanations could exist for this. A simple email to Charlie would likely clear this up.

If the spot isn't on the card, then just have the card re-holdered.

Email me the cert number of the card and I will look into it for you.
