Seated Dime pics from Silver Dollar show purchases

These aren't real good pics I'm still learning.
The 1837SD is PCGS55
The 1838-O is PCGS40
The 1837SD is a raw coin I've had for a while...I've been told it should grade 58-62. It has no wear but you know how that goes.

    Nice pics Jon.

I hate to grade coins from pictures, but the raw 1837 looks like it has 63 detail. If the image is accurate, then it may be lack of luster that lowers the grade. It doesn't appear to have the rub the slabbed 1837 has. Nothing compairs to seeing it in person.

Are you going to slab it?

  • I like that 38-O.... Hell, I like em all image. The raw 37, looks pretty nice, is that waer or a tad weak strike on the reverse bow? cant tell from pic. Nice coins, good taste image

    KK,

The rev is struck up pretty good. The lighting on the pic hides some of the detail on the bow. All of these coins are much nicer in person. I just wanted to show them as best I could. I wish I would have seen that you were selling those 2 dimes a while back before you put them on ebay. They looked like coins that I am looking for. Are you into Bust Dimes?

  • Jon,
I wish you would have seen them before I put them on ebay. Dave Thomas ended up buying the 49-O, for resale of course.

    <<Are you into Bust Dimes?>>

The only dimes I really dont "dig" are roosies.
