pulled a 1993 proof nickel out of my change at the doughnut shop today. I wonder who put it in?

I've only seen one or two proofs get into circulation (that I've encountered). Always neat when it happens!

Never found a proof in circulation. Thats pretty cool. Do they get banged up and turn colors, or just look shiney?
I got a 1959-D jefferson out of the vending machine earlier today though, that baby must be worth at least 5 cents!

The ones I saw were just shiney with some extra handling marks.
