A fingerprint can ruin a coin!

I fell in love with this coin until I saw the reverse!

What a shame. I am willing to bet it got its "tattoo" while slabbing. Anyone submitting would have had it "preserved".

Oh, man, that is sad. It's in the location where it happens during slabbing, too.

there are three fingerprints on this coin one at 12 noon on the obverse and there are two on the reverse 3pm and 6 pm these fingerprints have been on the coin for many years it didnot happen during the slabbing process
i have seen literally hundreds of these fingerprints if not a few thousdand on many originally toned copins of the late 19 century to early 20 th century in proof really common

sincerely michal most of the time i do not like fingerprints sometimes they are okie it juast depends on the look of the coin and if they are hidden

now this coin you posted i really do not like

that was a really great post desert!!!!!!!!!!! i love it!!

    sincerely michael

With those prints the person could probably be identified.
