Hi. Longtime reader, hardly ever poster to these boards.
Thanks for taking my post.

I hope 1954 has a better day tomorrow, but I do acknowledge that the boards might seem somewhat exclusionary (though never elitist) if one is not collecting 1970 Kellogg's. So I'm posting this questionnaire (old party game) in an attempt to stir other possible topics. I'll even got first -

    Mcastaldi- You said you would like to eat with Ric Flair. I would just like to say excellent choice. About 12 years ago I went to the Baltimore Arena to see The NWA wrestling event and after the matches my friends and I went to a bar in the Inner Harbor near the Arena and low and behold who was there, Ric Flair along with Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard . Funny thing was that they were there with Nikita Koloff and Crusher Krushtev who earlier that night they had beaten to a bloody pulp. We walked up and hung out with those guys for about an hour. I think they were comfortable because we were not hounding them like other people there. They were real laid back and friendly. We had a good time and it was a pretty neat experience .

    Like I'm going to miss the WS to watch a TV show that'll be rerun in a few months...

    No idea on celebrity dinner - I think what I'd hate most would be if I had dinner with some idealized person and discovered they were so much less than I'd hoped. Be it an athlete, movie star, etc. If I had to pick a living person...probably Natalie Portman.

    I've just tended to be bored and disappointed anytime I've met a celebrity...
    Why do I get the feeling, that some cards are worth money, while others are not?

    This thread is approaching 3 dozen responses. So far, I count four (4) smokers and a nic-patch user and at least that many "nothing" for breakfast. When you include the sausage biscuits, doughnut & pop-tart eaters, I'd say this is basically a bunch of unhealthy, slow, fat guys. Generally speaking and present company excluded, of course.

    My wife says most guys in this hobby look like Kit Young, or will someday.

    Also interesting, to me at least;

    Mountain Dew is quite popular as a morning beverage.

    The Sopranos is a very watched show.

    2 or 3 others besides me got our first new cards as 58 Topps.

    For movies, no mention of Gone With the Wind, like many of our childhood cards are now.
