Report from a smaller coin show

Just got back from the monthly Clifton, NJ coin show. It usually has about 20-25 dealers. As is typical of a smaller show, it has a lot of less expensive material - 'junk' boxes, raw coins, modern mint products, proof sets, etc.
I got there at my usual time of 9:30 and the show was a lot more crowded that usual. The usual dealers were there, but I noticed that almost everyone had circulated raw US gold for sale, which is unusual. Most of the coins were XF raw with-motto Coronet half eagles, with a few eagles and Indian quarter and half eagles. There was also a fair amount of quarter ounce-size world gold coins. I saw a 1976 Soviet Chervonetz for $78 (which is pretty much melt) as well as a handful of Victoria (Widow Head) - $77 to pick or all eight for $75.50 each. As usual, there were tons of raw uncirc Morgans, some common dates in slabbed MS-63; some ancients, modern world coins, etc.
There's also a world currency and check dealer. Most of his checks are from the US and the 1860s-1900s - very cool and inexpensive. Last month I bought an Assignat for 15 sols from him for $4. A nice piece of history!

I attend about 5 a year, here locally in Tampa Bay. Although our material seems to be more diverse,
due to many more collectors here in Floriday I guess.
