Question?????

I wish an honest answer from all of you.
Suppose you've been looking for a peticular coin for a while. This coin doesn't show up to often in AU and above.
Then you see a raw one on Ebay.
The seller is known for selling cleaned coins.
Add to that it's a reserve auction.
One last thing,it appears to be overgraded by the seller.IMHO

Run as fast as you can. Another will come along. It may not be cleaned but the reputation is there.

    merz2,

If you've been looking fror a cleaned example of whatever coin you want, then bid on it. Otherwise , you know the answer to your own question!

    Merz,

If it was something I was really after and was having trouble getting it, and this coin seemed to meet my criteria, I think I would at least try to bombard the seller with questions of the type that would nail him down to the point where there would be no question that the coin would be returned if it doesn't meet your expectations. In other words, I would tell him what I wanted out of the coin and if it isn't there, I would already have his concurrence that the coin could be returned without a loss to you.

The seller is known for selling cleaned coins BUT is he known for his fair return policy? Is it worth the hassle just in case you don't like the coin?

Simple answer. Don't bid, and move on. You'll find one it will just take more time.

    Don,
I've been looking for a decent 36d 3.5 legger for quite some time. I have come across a couple here and there with problems. I have passed on them because sooner or later, I will find one without problems!

There will always be another......it might cost more but there will will always be one.
