It was supposed to come out in OCT. 2001.Has anyone herd if there is a new release date and what the hold up is?

  • The last I heard was that it had been pushed back to the fall of 2002, so hopefully any day now there will be an announcement that it's ready. I did check the Stanton website but there's no mention of it. image

I heard Stanton has had many personal problems and there is no time frame when, if ever, volume 2 will come out.image

Here is the last e-mail I got from JT Stanton:

    Hey Eric,

Thanks again for sending all the customers to me. Its greatly appreciated.

CPG #2 will be out about the end of the year. In 3 weeks I'll be working only on that about 12 hours per day. I'll also slip in an issue of Cherrypickers' News during that time, and start to get it rolling again.
I'd better run and get back to work. Thanks for the note. Stay in touch.

    JT

Volume 2 has become an urban legend.
The most money I made are on coins I haven't sold.

    Got quoins?

    JT don't take this personally,

Numerous issues came up with Vol 1, and it took awhile longer than projected, so, I wouldn't try to hold "feet to the fire" on Vol 2, although I too am anxiously awaiting it. I guess JT just has a few more irons in the fire than he can keep to the schedule. All I can say is let's hope it comes sometime soon.

Will it continue on to Dimes,Quarters,Halfs and Dollars? And or adding more varieties to the current list?
Anyone know what will be covered in Vol.2?

Vol 1 said " Vol 2 will cover all other denominations including gold and commemorative coins"

Seems like a lot of ground to cover in just a single volume.Dimes,Quarters, and Halfs might could take up a whole volume in itself, and Gold and Commems could be another.
Maybe the print and pics will be tiny? image

I bet part of the delay is that the information keeps growing. It's probably hard to come up with a stopping point.
