Recently bought two rolls of common date "uncirculated" Morgans from guy on eBay. I got them in today and there is not an original coin in the bunch. Mostly over-dipped, cleaned, net grade XFs or AUs. The coins were in two tubes, dropped loose in a "bubble" envelope. One of the tubes was a hard plastic round tube that broke in transit, so twenty Morgans rattled their way all across the country, and looked like it. I sent the seller a nice email telling him I would like to return the coins, which he agreed to, but added that if I sent him an additional $350.00, he would send me an ACG slabbed 1883-O MS-66 DMPL worth $6000. Is this a great deal or what??????

danglen nobody has said this yet... RUN RUN LIKE HELL run away from the acg (another crappy grade) slabbed coin. you dont want it in your collection it will infect your other good coins with coin rot .. Take your money and cut your losses.

A few years back I bought 2 1996 rolls of SAE. The seller threw them in a USPS priority box with some newspaper and you guessed it did not tape the lids on the rolls. When they got to me the whole thing sounded like a babys rattle. 40 1996 one Oz coins bouncing around loose.

Bill, same thing happened to me a couple of years ago. I bought a whole set of USSR Olympic proof coins, and the seller (actually a coin dealer), just dropped the 28 coins loose in a Priority Mail envelope. He couldn't understand why I neg'd him.

As for the identity of the eBay seller I originally referred to in this thread, I am trying to work things out so that I get my money back, and as long as he's willing to do that, I don't think it's fair for me to name names. However, if things don't work out that way, you can bet I'll let the world know who he is.
